Welcome!

This forum is a place for roleplayers and RPG owners to post requests for characters needed in an RPG. Any style, genre, and rating of RPGs are accepted... and better yet it's free! No link back is required and you do not need to be the moderator to post a request! Fore more information read here.

Want to post a request? To post a request please register account, and read the rules! Or sign in with the user name 'Request' and password 'request2' to post.

Rules
There are some rules that need to be read while you use this website. Please read carefully and PM me if you have any problems.

1) Character Requests should always use the required form, which you will find pinned at the top of each request section.

2) Advertising your RPG is only allowed in the Advertising Section (see there for advertising rules). There should be no advertisement for your RPG in your requests.

This means do not:

* Post your RPG advert, plot or summary when giving details about the character/s you are requesting. Any details should go under 'canon' (for canon rpgs) and 'summary' (for non-canon rpgs).
* Provide extra details about the style or tell the reader how to join your rpg. All you need to say is where your rpg is played i.e. journal, forum, yahoo group etc.
* Give a list of every type of character you accept. That's what your RPG website is for.
* Do not try to sneak information about your RPG in anywhere else in your form. I read them all and I will edit your request.

3) You can post as many requests for as many RPGs as you like; just remember to use the correct form.

4) You may post multiple characters in one request but the rules are as follows:

Multiple Character Requests that are allowed:

* Requests for entire families.
* Requests for characters for a plot, which include full details for each character.
* Requests for unrelated characters for the same RPG that have details about each one.
* Requests for a certain type of character group. i.e. 'older male teachers'. Details should be provided about this group and what you (as a GM) are looking for in your RPG.
* Lists of canon characters needed. Details must be provided for these characters to explain their role in your rpg. If your canon rpg takes place in a different timeline or alternate universe please include details.
* When listing Canon characters you cannot just say 'we have most open, here are a few examples'. You need to list all the canons or a selected few that you really need filled. You can always edit your post to add/remove names.

What is not allowed:

* Requests that just list all the characters needed in an rpg - especially if it is a new rpg.
* Requests that list a taken characters as well as open places. This forum is for character REQUESTS not a character list!
* A list of Characters without any description i.e. just names or titles.

5) Character Requests should be for specific characters or character groups ONLY. This is NOT the place for GMs to post about a brand new RPG and list which characters are open and which are taken. Do that on your own forum or in an advertising comunity.

This forum is not against new rpgs, but it is not the place for you to search for members to fill every single spot. If you're looking for places to advertising use the Distant Fantasies Advertising Guide, which has a huge list of places to advertise your new rpg and find members.

6) Character groups do not include original characters you accept. They include specific groups like 'male vampires', 'teachers', 'nobles', 'jedi' etc.

7) RPG Copiers are not welcome here. Anyone found to be using this site as a place to steal character ideas will be banned.

8) Last but not least; be polite to everyone on this board. That includes when replying to requests or turning someone down for a character.

9) Please post your request in the correct section according to the genre or category of the RPG of the character the request is for.

10) You MUST be able to accept emails from this board by other users or include an email address in your post.

11) Do not use the contact details posted in a request to harass or spam. This includes sending advertisements or invites to your RPG in any way; email, online messangers or PMs.

These may seem quite strict but unfortunatly I have had a number of people using character requests as another way to give information about their RPG. There are so so many places to advertise your RPG out there, so please go to one of those sites to do it! Help keep this site about what it is about - needed characters.
